Lifetime Limited Warranty and Paint Care Guidelines
Caring for Your Freshly Painted Vehicle
Fresh paint requires adequate time to fully cure. During the first 60 days after refinishing, please exercise extra caution when washing, drying, parking, and storing your vehicle. Throughout this curing period, the refinished areas may be more sensitive as the paint reaches full hardness and residual solvents continue to evaporate. Proper care during this time helps maintain the appearance and durability of the finish.
For the initial 60 days:
- Refrain from waxing, polishing, applying ceramic coatings, sealing, or using any protective layers on the freshly painted surfaces.
- Avoid automatic car washes, high-pressure washing, harsh chemicals, abrasive towels, rough wash mitts, and vigorous scrubbing.
- Wash the vehicle gently by hand with clean water and, if necessary, a mild pH-balanced automotive wash soap. Please avoid household detergents or dish soaps.
- Dry the surface carefully with a clean, soft microfiber towel or chamois, avoiding aggressive rubbing.
- Avoid parking in areas under trees or where the vehicle may be exposed to tree sap, bird droppings, industrial fallout, heavy dust, road debris, or other contaminants.
- If contaminants such as bird droppings, tree sap, bugs, or similar substances contact the painted surface, rinse gently and remove them as soon as possible. Do not scrape or scrub the area.
After the 60-day period, you may resume standard washing and paint-care practices using quality automotive products, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Regular cleaning and proper protective measures, such as waxing or sealing, can help maintain the vehicle’s finish over time.
Lifetime Limited Warranty
Please retain your final repair invoice. The invoice is your proof of repair and will be required for any warranty claim.
Haury’s Lake City Collision Services, Inc. (“Haury’s,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this Limited Lifetime Repair Warranty to the original retail customer (“you” or “your”) for the vehicle identified on the final repair invoice.
What This Warranty Covers
For as long as you own the vehicle, Haury’s warrants that the repair workmanship performed by Haury’s, as identified on the final repair invoice, will be free from defects in workmanship. This warranty applies only to the specific repair operations, parts, materials, and sublet services listed on the final repair invoice. This warranty is not transferable and ends when you sell, transfer, or no longer own the vehicle.
Parts, Materials, and Sublet Services
Haury’s warrants its workmanship in installing parts used in the repair. However, Haury’s does not independently warrant the design, manufacture, condition, fit, finish, corrosion resistance, durability, availability, or internal failure of any part or component. New OEM parts are subject to the applicable Original Equipment Manufacturer warranty. Aftermarket, non-OEM, recycled, used, rebuilt, remanufactured, reconditioned, or LKQ parts are subject only to the warranty provided by the part manufacturer, supplier, distributor, recycler, or seller, if any. Sublet services are subject to the warranty provided by the sublet service provider, if any.
Haury’s warranty for paint and refinish workmanship applies only to refinish work performed by Haury’s and does not cover damage or deterioration caused by later impact, stone chips, scratches, road rash, environmental fallout, chemicals, salt/brine exposure, lack of maintenance, pre-existing corrosion, unrepaired adjacent damage, prior repairs, or normal wear and tear.
Warranty Claim Procedure
If you believe there is a defect covered by this warranty, you must notify Haury’s promptly and return the vehicle to Haury’s for inspection before any warranty-related repair is performed by another person or facility. Haury’s must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the condition and determine whether it is covered by this warranty.
If Haury’s determines that a defect is covered by this warranty, Haury’s will, at its option, repair the defect or replace the affected part or component at no charge to you. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this repair or replacement remedy is your exclusive remedy under this Limited Lifetime Repair Warranty.
